1 pimento, diced

Mix vegetables well in a wooden bowl previously rubbed with garlic. Salt and pepper the whole, using freshly ground black pepper. Add enough dressing to moisten well but do not have the salad swimming in it. Serve as soon as mixed.

COMBINATION SALAD (Southern style)

1 small head cabbage, shredded

1 onion, grated, or

fine

6 spring onions, diced

1 green pepper, chopped

2 tomatoes, diced

1 pimento, diced

1 cucumber, diced

2 stalks celery, diced

Chopped whites of 2 hard-boiled
